Angela is a coffee producer from Santa Cruz Ozolotepec. Like many in her community, Angela saw opportunity in coffee and has been in the business for over 25 years. A year ago she began selling through Caravela and sees it as a path to achieving higher prices through quality.
Her husband, Ciro Perez, also helps her with weed control, harvest and processing on the farm. The biggest change since becoming quality focussed with Caravela has been in the attention to processing practices. With the increased income Angela plans to do some renovations and grow other crops such as bananas to diversify her offerings.
